I saw the pic of your Dark Star. I have Mtssa. Dark Star 'Orchid Works' but it looks just like your pic. I am new to this and would appreciate some info since your look fab.
Mine is potted in lava rock I think. The water just runs right through the pot. I feel like I should water it every day since nothing stays in the pot. It has been blooming for a mo. now, but the first flower is already drying up and fading. I don't understand the light requirements. I have a light meter that goes from 200 to 2000 but I don't know if it measures candle feet.
I am so new I don't even know how to post a pic yet, but I will learn that shortly. Thanks, Lea:waving

To be honest, this picture was the last time this guy was in bloom! :bua: He was very unhappy for quite some time, thought he was a goner but he recently started looking better so... :crossfing

I may not be the person to be giving advice on this one ;)
