Did you guys know Midsomer Murders has an episode about orchids?

A friend of ours told us about this, we watched and felt like making a video about it, because it's errr... a lot.

It goes from well researched, they made up an wild orchid, and the location makes sense, so does the look of the orchid. To very basic mistakes, a paph that somehow turns into a phal. Oh and the prices of orchids :rofl:

If you are in the right mood and don't mind orchid collectors being portrait as crazy people capable of murder it's a fun watch.

Here's our video (we warn about spoilers before spoiling anything):

interesting! I love how the orchid show is a full blown royal wedding theme with mostly Trader Joe Orchids in display. :biggrin:

Will have to check it out thanks.
Sounds right to me though.
You have to be a little crazy to have a big collection of orchids or you end up with a lot of cats.
Sometimes both.
And if you aren't crazy yet then trying to build up a big collection and finding out how to grow them all successfully will drive you crazy.
Didn't you know orchid growers like to talk to their plants? Crazy.

As a seasoned gardener, that can be a very subjective subject. Ahem... you should have seen me when I realized all six of my Japanese maples died over winter from verticillium wilt... it was quite ugly.

:((:shock::poke::bua::fire::whip:

I learned about the episode and series years ago at our orchid society and that episode got me hooked on the series. I have seen all but the last few seasons of Midsommer Murders--they are not on any of the streaming services to which spouse has subscribed. It is a great series! :)
