Spiranthes odorata in S/H?
Has anyone tried growing Spiranthes odorata semi?
Cheers. Jim |
I guess my question is "Why would you?" This is a common North American Species (Noding Ladies Tresses) that normally grows in wet, acid, boggy conditions. It's sort of like trying to grow any other terrestrial spp in semi/hydro. For me, I don't get the point.

I have to agree.
If it'll grow in your garden, and over winter, thats one less pot to worry about taking care of, and taking up space. Besides, I find its better to keep plants in the ground whenever possible. I'd grow paphs in my garden, or oncidiums in my trees, if I didn't live in a zone 5  |
i actually bring all my cats out in summer and hang them in the trees in my yard. i find that the bulbs harden off better; and you don,t get those floppy leaves.
in fall they totally look regenerated. |
