Paphiopedilum Lady Booth
(Susan Booth 'SVO' HCC/AOS x Lady Isobel [syn Lady Isabel] 'DD's Orion) This is 50% rothschildianum, 25% glanduliferum and 25% stonei. Attachment 159151 SVO without number. This came to me in June 2016, with its first seedling bloom. It waited to get a little bigger, then flowered last year and now. Attachment 159150 It sent up the spike when I was out of town so I didn't get a chance to stake it. I was afraid to break it so I left it as is. Attachment 159148 Flowers are about 7" / 17.6cm top to bottom. I'm looking forward to having this judged when the presentation is better and flower count is higher. I think I might get two spikes next year. Attachment 159149 It was the most expensive orchid I'd bought at that time, $85, but I'm glad I did. |
That was money well spent. It seems to be sticking its pouch out saying look at me.
