When I purchased this it was labeled simply as C. intermedia, but when it bloomed it turned out to be C. intermedia var. aquinii coerulea. I am not complaining about this though. :)

The wide coloring pattern on the lips suggests that it could also be an orlata variety;

Wonderful markings on the lip and petals. I would be very happy with the label error also.
