http://www.orchidboard.com/community...1&d=1647830195 I have bought this clone about two and half years ago, and boy, it was such an eager plant to make flowers, trying to make flowers since the first year; however, due to some obscure reason, buds got totally blasted and rotted away twice--possibly due to harsh unforgiving Korean cold weather it has to endure. This year, it finally got its timing right and bloomed just as the spring came...with three 'Gorgeous' flowers, just as the clonal name suggests. It has light citrous fragrance, not quite strong as straight walkeriana, but still pleasant. |

Beautiful! This is a great example showing the differences between a walkeriana hybrid and the pure species. Notice the fimbriate lip on this one. If you get a "walkeriana" with a wavy lip like that, its a tipoff that you've got a hybrid with loddigesii. Also, almost all albas sold in the USA are crossed with loddigesii.
