I imagine there are a number of possibilities for what this could be, but I figured I'd throw a photo up and see if anyone can nail it down.

Possibly relevant info: N̵o̵ ̵s̵c̵e̵n̵t̵ ̵(̵t̵h̵a̵t̵ ̵I̵'̵v̵e̵ ̵n̵o̵t̵i̵c̵e̵d̵)̵, flower pictured is 5.5 inches across the petals, this stalk has 4 flowers, plant is unifoliate, pseudobulbs are 6-9 inches (depending on where you measure from), leaves are ~12 inches.

Does that narrow it down at all?

The name does not add beauty, but there is a whole history behind it, if you know the ancestry, the gardeners and places this one plant links you and today to many decades and even centuries of plants growing and flowering, and sometimes astounding journeys, too.
Plants are living history, even if it is a recent (re-)make of complex hybrids.
The scent can still develope as the flowers mature.

Indeed! I awoke to it exuding a very pleasant, almost rose-like scent today.

I'd guess it's a Bob Betts. A lot of people are posting bloom photos of that plant recently, so maybe it's in season.

It could also be Cattleya Pastoral or Cattleya Lola's Charm.
I have a Lola's Charm (Rlc. Pastoral x C. Earl) and it looks very much like your bloom and also very much like C. Pastoral.
So there are a couple more possibilities.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my impression is that unless it's a species or somebody did a primary cross for kicks recently, or somehow you ended up with a division of a very old plant from an old collection, today's floofy round alba catts are mostly reproductions of a polyploid genome that first appeared in Bow Bells. The key parent of Bow Bells was lost to a Nazi torpedo soon after giving birth to hundreds of revolutionary-looking baby BBs, and since growers had to make seed to grow more plants to stay in business they selfed and sibbed Bow Bells and stuck in back species and cousins here and there (C. mossiae for Bob Betts) to keep producing the nearly perfect Bow Bells look and genome with new names.

Pastoral is not a true alba and some years it (the popular meristemmed clone - maybe all of them,idk) will open with a little red spot on the lip from its Rlc. Déesse parent. I'd guess it's progeny might also.
