I always thought this was farmeri but is it a chrysotoxum? added a couple of photos of its neighbour that came out this week

Likely not Den farmeri, mine and all the pictures that I see have white segments with the yellow "egg yolk" lip. Chyrsotoxum would be a good possibility, there are a few others that bloom around the same time that look similar.

I can't quite see canes in these photos, but I vote for chrysotoxum.

This species has canes which thicken in the upper half.
If canes look more like farmeri, then it might be a densiflorum (but flowers are spaced a little too far apart).

My chrysotoxum does have a thicker "waist" and flowers that are a bit deeper yellow.

Dens. chrysotoxum and farmeri are both in the calista [densiflorum] section of Dendrobium.
Their plants are very similar in structure.
My experience is that they both fall into the range of either plant's potential forms.
Telling them apart just by their plant's form is next to impossible.

D. chrysotoxum has yellow colored flowers.
I've never seen them with, or credited with any other color.
D. farmeri is credited with a white or light purple flower with a yellow throat.

Your pics of the yellow flowers look just like my D. chrysotoxum's flowers.
My D. farmeri hybrid's are white with a yellow throat.
It may be a hybrid, but it is a farmeri crossed with a farmeri X amabile, very strong in farmeri charicteristics.
I've never seen a farmeri [or amabile] credited with a solid yellow flower.

I say with confidance your plant is a D. chrysotoxum.
