Possibly Prosthechea (Encyclia) fragrans. Again, there are several species that look similar.

Looks like Encyclia but now is referred to as Anacheilium. Name changes make me dizzy. Someone not at all dizzy will be your best guide.

good id from Roberta, like mentioned it could be a different Encyclia(prostechea), some of them only have subtle differences from the leaves to the scent of the flowers, everything else being identical.

How many leaves does it have sticking out the bulbs?

Could you possibly descibe the scent? Any hint of cow poo?

Scent is so subjective... Prosthechea radiata has a reputation of smelling sort of like that, or urine to some people. To me, it's more like wintergreen. I'm pretty sure the pictured flower isn't radiata, though... One clue might be conditions under which it is growing... fragrans grows warmer than radiata. Radiata has somewhat wider segments. Also.. Prosthechea fragrans is from South America, P. radiata from Central America. So if came from a local source, P. fragrans is more likely.

Almost looks like P. baculus because of the large petals in relation to the lip, though the lip seems kind of narrow. Another identifying feature on these white flowered Prosthechea is how many leaves are on the each bulb.

Thanks everyone it is Prosthechea fragrans growing at an elevation of 1,500 meters in Colombia.

That's great information. I saw Prosthechea fragrans growing near the Amazon in Brazil, so clearly it is a very adaptable species to be able to also grow at a higher, cooler elevation.
