First Paphiopedilum
 

While everything is shutdown in California, somethings are opening up... Here is my first Paphiopedilum. Rather curious things, these!

Very nice choice of paph. Great features all around ... colours, colour depth, and shape.

That's a nice one for a first choice. Yes, they are curious things. Remind me somewhat of snapdragons, and some of the carnivorous plants. And blooms that last for awhile... that's always a positive.

It's fully opened now. Looks like some cartoon character with the pollinia visible...

I thought so! I thought I recognized either the Supersuk or Raisin Pie or both in there.
