I think my vanilla plant is sick

I bought two vanilla plants about one month ago.
I replanted them this week.
I notice all the aerial root have dried up and the smaller plant's leaves were not smooth but have ridges.
A leaf has black dots. At first it looks like it had a trauma since a chicken might have pecked on it, but now it has black dots. I am not a plant expert but can someone help.
I will upload pics. thnx.

Can you tell us how you’re growing them: substrate, temperature, lighting, watering, fertilizing? It looks a bit like yours may have gotten sunburned.

well I used a mixed of coconut peat, burned rice hull and coconut chips for the soil.
for temperature I let it out the sunshine until 12 noon, then put in the shade during the afternoon.
I havent watered them for three days coz the soil is still moist.
I have not given them a fertilizer coz, I have a slow release one ( npk equally distributed). but I do not how much granules to place in the soil and I just transplanted them so I want them to adjust first.
thanks for replying. :)[COLOR="Silver"]

Trying giving them less light in the morning, by leaving it in the afternoon location all day maybe. I grew out some really nice in-vitro propagated seedlings at work, and for young plants bright shade was best. I was growing these in a growth room with 80% humidity, and about 70-100 µmol PAR light supplied by blue and red LEDs, which I belive corresponds to rather shady conditions outside.

I'm guessing humidity shouldn't be a problem where you live?

I am not giving them anymore direct sun, though they are still outside like balcony something. I am not familiar with our humidity, but it is very hot. Maybe I should put them in a make shift greenhouse like putting a plastic over them.

I just just up the weather in Manilla, and it's 80% humidity. I'll assume it is similar where you are, though I don't know how variable the climate can be the the Philippines. I think your vanilla should do fine, though you may need to water more frequently when it's hot.

thanks I will keep that in mind.
BTW, I live in Valenzuela City.
I tried to google humidity in my area and it works.
:)
