My Catt in bloom

The oldest members already know this one but to the newer ones here it is.
It has two growing and blooming seasons per year and now is growing in two fronts. Getting bigger!:D

Ooooh lovely plant! And those flowers almost look like an animals print

How big is that basket for reference?

Not much to contribute lately. But, your plant is inspirational.

Does your catt have a more specific name? Would like to add this beauty to my list for future purchase as it is a splendid looking flower.

Well, it's a NOID but if you search google by "spotted bifoliate cattleyas" you'll find a lot of similar blooms.

This one has another particularity. The blooms change color as they age.
I took the photo bellow a few years ago. See how they look. he spots start to get gradually blured until the blooms become completely purple. After that they die.

Well it is a lovely Catt and if I ever come across one similar to this at a show I will definitely purchase it.

Everything about it is beautiful. The flowers, of course, but it also has very attractive-looking foliage, and I love that tangle of healthy roots that is somewhat, but not quite, contained by that nice wooden basket. :)

I have to agree with Mountineer370. There is even a 'volunteer fern' adding to the picture.
