My Irene Finney 'Springs Best' is blooming (2nd time) with 6 gorgeous flowers. There are also 3 other buds that are waiting to burst! The flowers are approx. 6" across with lovely, lovely fragrance. This beauty bloomed once last July with 6 flowers.

Nice Lc. Irene Finney!
It is one of my favorite early cattleyas.

kwarren 02-08-2014 08:17 AM

Very nice. I really enjoy pics and opinions from other growers who have a cultivar that I have bought and has not bloomed yet. Beautiful pictures!

plumania 02-08-2014 09:20 AM

Lovely. I am really excited to see how beautiful the bloom is and also scented.
I bought this one few months ago, still has old sheath but I am unsure if they will develop buds. I hope mine bloom too.

Wow, what lovely bloomers. The Irene Finney is a stunner - as they all are. Good growing!

What plant is that between the cymbidium and the cattleya?

WhiteRabbit 02-08-2014 05:52 PM

Wow! Spectacular!

That is really nice. Congrats on the good culture and getting this bloom. I think I remember it from last year. It's always nice to get plants to re-bloom. Hold your head high. Very pretty.

No-Pro-mwa 02-09-2014 01:16 PM

Oh that is a beautiful cattleya, wow all your orchids look really good and blooming so nice.

Thank you - although I couldn't really taking credit for getting it to bloom last year since it came with small buds in the sheaths. Right after it finished blooming last year, it sent out 3 very chubby pseudo bubs. All new pseudo bulbs have sheaths & buds. It has been very nice to me!

That is an alba cymbidium. It looks exactly like Cym. Pumilow but with variegated leaves. It is a Feb. bloomer but it blooms early this year. It sent out 12 long spikes in early January, cascading down around the pot. It has only few spikes left now since it has been blooming for over a month. I've just uploaded a couple more pictures.

Wow, what a perfect Cattleya!

GardenTheater 02-13-2014 08:54 AM
