Just a pic or two of my happy place. I've always liked exotics so thats why I posted this. You all amaze me with your plants. I always like seeing your pics. :)

Nice purple phals. It looks like a neat growing area.

You have some beautiful plants there. Good growing.
Nice phals, beautiful colours and love the AV's :D

Thankyou guys, it's always good to get positive feedback. Sometimes I feel like a proud dad:) I've been getting into tillandsias as of late so...I love the ride and by the way orchids rule ha ha.
Lovely bunch of blooms! My fav. is the purple Phals!
Lovely little growing area! I'd love to see the orchid in the large brandy snifter up close!
Very nice! And very interesting. I specifically loved the large brandy glass method of growing...my Florida Ghost orchid mounted on cypress bark is inside a large brandy glass with water at 1/4 level to simulate the stagnant waters of the everglades...
Very nice grow area and lovely flowers!

The phal in the glass "brandy snifter" is that what you call it? That one has only been in there for about a week. I saw a few posts on vase culture and thought I'd give it a try. Don't know if anyone has ever tried this with phal so I'm gonna give it a go. So far so good, with two old roots starting to branch already.

what kind of media are you using ? it looks like rocks, that set up looks amazing .
The "rocks" look like Hydroton or some similar round LECA.
It's a type of leca (PrimeAgra).
where can i buy that? what kind of results or benefit to using this are there
Louie, welcome to the board. I use LECA mainly because it doesn't decompose and it provides good airflow to the roots. I also grow some of my plants using the "semi-hydroponic" method. You can find all kinds of great info on LECA and semi-hydroponics at firstrays.com.
