It is Doritis pulcherrima X Phal. violacea .
It followed me home from Lowes a few months ago, was labled as an Oncidium.:shock: found tag in the pot , then double checked on the net .

No scent that I can detect , but my smeller is not working right (ragweed) .... Gin

Fabulous Gin! Love the color. I've been on a hunt for a blue Kenneth Schubert to no avail. The one Hausermanns has is too pale.

I just found one when I was moving benches around... Interesting. I think it is a prolific producer of basal keikis, if my plant is any indication. Can't recall how dark the flowers are on mine though. If I recall, it is in spike so maybe I'll know soon.

D, I saw the Purple Martin at Big Leaf and about had a heart attack when I checked the price. I'm not that good of a grower yet that I can spend $125 on a plant!:yikes:
