Hello,
I just wanted to share some pictures of tulips from my small outdoor garden. I really like them and hope you will enjoy the pictures too.
Thank you for looking.

There is something about a red tulip. It was not until recently that I realized tulips can be fragrant. Love to see the tulips pushing out of the ground.

I like Tulips, but perhaps that's also because they are very common here in Holland. It gives me the feeling of spring again. They are so colorfull.

Nice tulips. :) Are you posting the pics late, or are the tulips really only just blooming up in Canada?

orchideya 06-20-2011 10:32 AM

Thank you guys.
Camille, it is just an old thread. I posted it back in May when they were blooming. Thay are long gone now...

LOL, that's what happens when I don't look at the original posting date!!

I realize this is an old thread, but that first pic is gorgeous. Our tulips are up and blooming at the moment.

For a minute I was contemplating asking you where in Canada you live. In spite of a very mild winter, our
ground is still frozen, and another 20cm of snow is in the forecast for tomorrow. I have a soft spot for tulips (I lived in Amsterdam for years) and can't wait to see them in the gardens here. On a lighter note: the geese and robins are back!

I too was thinking ours haven't even decided to come thru the soil yet! We did hit 19 Celsius today and close to that yesterday. It's going to be cooler for Easter weekend while we are at the lake tho! My lilac bushes are almost unfurling a few leaves!

Thank you for the complements. I was surprised to see this old thread :), but it was nice to remember those blooms. We moved to the new house last fall, so I don't have them anymore, didn't start my garden here yet.

Ezil, you should visit Ottawa during tulip festival (if you haven't yet). Spectacular display!
