What the heck ... :scratchhead:
First of all, is this an orchid? :hmm

It does look like a Polycynis, just not sure which one. If anyone has OW please look up Polycycnis tortuosa, otherwise I think it's Polycycnis trullifera

Polycycnis is definitely an orchid and does belong to the Stanhopea alliance.

I don't know the species, sorry Beto. :(

Isn't it great that you can come across a post and think 'is this an orchid?' Just means that these plants keep on surprising you! :p
Quite a nice one, Beto! :) I had never heard of this species before!!

Pretty sure it's Polycycnis trullifera.

It certainly looks like an orchid flowering but it's new to me. I wish I could help, but it's impressive looking anyway.

I think is an orchid .... but I´m not a specialist I´m only an orchid fan... here you can see the plant and the spike with over 30 flowers.... if this is not an orchid I really don´t know....
