Estacion seca - Location would play a factor? I'm located in Southern Ontario so it wouldn't be as dry.
Did you leave them in sphagnum moss during your leave?

While I was gone the relative humidity was around 40%. I have left them in the moss. I have a number of different Oncidiums in multiple media, as I try to figure out what works best here.
