Potting my first ceratocentron fesselii, please help Female
Default Potting my first ceratocentron fesselii, please help

I just purchased my first ceratocentron fesselii and I have no idea how to care for it. I read that it needs to stay moist and have good air-flow and bright light, so I was thinking a small hanging basket and sphagnum moss in front of a southern exposure. I have a neostylis in this set up, and it seems to love it.

But then I read another owner's post who said it didn't like having its feet wet and needed well-draining potting media. So that sounds like maybe a bark mixture in a slotted pot.

Can someone who has experience with this orchid please give me some advice? Thank you in advance!

I have Ceratocentron tubicentron 'Niu Girl' x ceratocentron fesseli x Tuberolabium, and it is mounted on cork with a small amount of moss. I keep it in GH with quite high humidity, spraying it every morning, and sometimes also evening. it has new spike right now and seems fine with such care.

Thank you for the information! I was hoping not to mount it. Do you think it would do okay in a hanging basket, or is mounting really the only option?
