keithrs: after looking at the pictures of Epiweb and your pictures of Matala,theres a readily available bulk product like that at most larrger pond supply places and some of the larger aquarium stores.....I know in Vancouver ,Canada it was avail at Big Al's Aquarium supply and most of the garden centres that sold pond stuff

I don't find it holds water well enough for our Florida growing. If you are going to use it best be sure and use a hunk of spag. to mount on. Most of my mounts are watered daily but those I water twice.

I just went to an apartment building for a job quote....and there on the floor was a large piece of industrial carpeting that looked almost EXACTLY like this media....might want to check with industrial carpet suppliers

I actually visited the founder of Epiweb a few months ago. Saw some really nice Epiweb systems for extremely demanding plants. Apparently he's got a new material coming up.
I have a small Epiweb system myself that waters itself but I've found it hard to get the watering right. Seems easy to over water, especially if you have some Sphagnum around your plants.
