Wild root growth, repot again?
Hi orchid lovers! This is my very first post so pardon me if I get off topic or something.
My interest for orchids started hard a few months ago, and I then (in May) repotted all of my orchids, that had never received any more attention than being watered once a month (my mothers regime).
Well one of those orchids, a mini phal, has had some truly
amazing root development since then. I can’t remember if I was able to size up with its pot (11 or 12 cm), because I didn’t own any other pots then, but either way it is growing out of it. Two roots have already made their way out the bottom and the rest just seem pretty crowded in there.
My question is if I should again repot this orchid so it can keep growing its roots, or if I should leave it since it was so recent? When I first repotted it it started growing to flower spikes, but they stopped growing a month or so ago and it seems to be putting all its energy into the roots.
I would be so grateful for any advice!
Thank you for reading!
