Dracula Cinnamon Angel - cultural advice
Hello all,
Yesterday a fellow orchid club member called me from a show. She said 'Hey the grower has some Draculas, do you want one?" and I heard "Yeah, I'd love one! Just get whichever one the grower recommends." come out of my mouth.
SO, now I have a Dracula Cinnamon Angel, which is a cross of D. Quasimodo and D. polyphemus. I understand that Draculas need high humidity and intermediate to cool temperatures. I have been kicking around the idea of making an orchid habitat (or two) out of old aquariums, and I guess now is the time!
Currently the only other Pleurothallid that I have is a Masdevallia imposter X floribunda that I grow next to the Phals with nothing above household humidity, and it's a constantly expanding mass of leaves and flowers.
Does anyone grow this Dracula, and if so can you offer any advice as to it's requirements? I live in central Illinois, USA. Thanks so much!
