Tommymiami - you know a new camera and a macro lens are on my Christmas wish. Now I just need to learn how to use them

That is wonderful, Carrie!
No worries on how to use a camera....you just will get the hang of it when you have it....I didn't even read the instructions on my Digital cam...I just unpacked it and started clicking away....

That is one of the classic gender differences ladies have a tendency to read the manual and gentlemen just wing it

Bud you are SO RIGHT!!! I never ever read manual, however for my Canon, and for me to learn everything, I must admit, I did actually not read the page of the manual that came with it, I did purchase the whole 250 page BOOK regarding my Canon camera, where is everything explain to the details, I must admit, it is must for those profi cameras, and lenses, because there is so many functions and settings that without the book I would be still lost, I think:-)))

Ordphien, miniatures are really fun and pleasure to grow, they do not take space, they seems to do great for me and they have such an interesting blooms, and so many opportunities for some macro shots, I wish I had more time, but December is too busy for us, however I will for sure play with macro much more after the new year:-)

Here are pictures of mine taken with a Lumix DMC-FZ10 (4 Mega pixels and a 12x optical zoom). Not bad for no macro lens
