I have a masd. Andean Prince which has so far been a disappointment.
I'm not acquainted with the hybrid - don't grow a lot of hybrids, but usually they are easier than the species.

I would think you'd be able to grow them where you are - mine are in an orchidarium in a basement room.

I might give it a try. I want to do some research first before I make that plunge.

I like the color on this one but love the fact that it is scented like lilacs! Is this a cool grower?

Thanks, Jane, Steve and Sonya. Steve, I do grow it cool, but it is supposed to be warmth tolerant.

Very nice. I tried to grow this for a while, but after a few years it slowly died on me. Not sure why. But its such a nice small sized plant, well worth a second try when I am ready for it.

It really is a pretty masd.
I hope I have better luck with my masd this year. It has always stayed very healthy but didn't boom well last year. It was the first year I had it and I think I didn't give it enough light and maybe I over fed it. It was spindly. Now it on a south facing screened basement window and It has weak fertilizer. Maybe I'll get it right this time.It looks happy and never gets too hot.

Thanks, Tindo. This is one of the easier ones for me, and Vanda, I look forward to seeing pictures of yours when it flowers. Sounds like you've found the right place for it.
