Default Lephanthes calodictyon

I bought this in March and it's had at least one leaf in bloom since soon after.

I grow it in a glass bubble so getting good pictures of the flowers has been impossible. While changing it's moss today I propped it in a temporary pot and snapped some of the flowers.

It seems to like growing in the glass bubble. It had 3 leaves when I bought it and now has 6 with another 4 growing. Currently 3 of the leaves have flowers

Thanks everyone, I'm amazed that I've been able to grow this tiny one.

I usually water using a pipette and just dribbling in a tiny bit of water to keep it slightly moist. Occasionally I put more water in and then poor it out again, but I think just dribbling some in works better.

I bought it from Orquideas del Valle a Columbian nursery while they were at a show in London. They sold the bubbles as well, and I think they had developed the idea for people without terrariums. I had seen Orchid Board member Laura showing pictures of one she had bought in a bubble at a show near her in the USA (turns out it was from the same nursery) so I decided to give it a go.

I should try growing some minis in bubbles, it seems to be quite successful! Hopefully when I go to the London show next year they will be there.

I love those little bubbles! And your calodictyon seems to love it too!

I always love the leaves of this cute chid, but you really took some great shots of the flower! Impressive with such a tiny bloom!
