To funny! We've been at the lake for a week now and just came home to cut grass, water orchids etc. Believe it or not, that crazy masdie has a new bloom spike about 1 1/2 inches tall! Only problem, a week was pushing it and the plants were very dry and the spike looks a tad yellow. Not sure if it can make a comeback. I brought them in the house for while we are gone so they wouldn't dry out so fast. We are away for a few weeks so will have to drive back more often. Only an hour away. I guess I could being it with me, but then there is Stanley the cat.....

That's a bummer. And it is also part of the reason I keep "critters" instead of dogs or cats.
