Default Just bought Masdi floribunda var. tuerckheimii in flower

Just bought this tiny little guy.

var. tuerckheimii is a paler form than the standard. I was slightly confused when checking the name online as I found pictures of tuerckheimii which seemed darker pink than the standard, but then SBOE sells one under this name and their picture shows it the same colour as mine.

Anyway the flowers are tiny. About 6mm in the main body of the flower, with a spur at the top arround 10mm and the lower curved backwards spurs are about 5mm each.

It has two open flowers and a further five buds waiting to open.

Really difficult to take pictures of, and in the first picture it's focused so close that the dust on the camera lense showed up. It still shows the flower well though.

Very nice! I love the first pic, dust and all, hehe.

Thanks Tindo,

It was actually the best focus on the flower. I had others from a similar angle but they just wern't as well focused on the flower, which is why I showed that one despite the dust.

I only have a Cannon Powershot SX200 which is a compact, however it has a pretty large diameter lense for a compact and is the first camera where I've had a noticable dust problem visible on the lense. Usually it's not noticable in the pictures, but the camera has a 0mm focus option and when it's auto focus pics that occasionally, the dust actually comes into focus or becomes visible without actually being in focus.

Anyway, I was glad to manage to get semi-decent pictures of such very very tiny flowers
