We used to have a Welsh Pony at our club back home in Jamaica. Pretty little grey gelding, amazing jumper.... if you were small enough to ride him without looking like a fool

How's he adapting to his new home and being around new people?

Is he just loving all the adoration and cuddling?

His name is Fencers Rocketman (Rocky for short). You can see his dad, Felinmor Ringmaster, here: Dycott Stud - Welsh Cobs & Ponies of Cob Type. He should grow up to be very similar to his dad.

Niki, I think this one will make a good jumper as well - such powerful hind quarters, and very short coupled, he should have propulsion to spare. I've got to get my daughter some jumping lessons. We'll start to back him lightly this summer.

Yesterday evening when I went down, I found him and my daughter lying down in the box, her resting across his belly, head on his withers, stroking his neck. Now that's a cuddly stallion! Most horses won't stay lying down with people around - so he must be settling in well and feeling right at home.

He here is from this evening, settling in for the night:

And here he is getting a cuddle

and a kiss!

I think I'm too old to start asking for ponies for Christmas, but these pictures make me want to give it a try. What a beautiful animal.

LOL! It certainly felt like Christmas to me - and I'm ten years older than you! You're never too old to ask for a pony for Christmas - you never know, one year, all those Christmas wishes might come true!
