white spot on phal. spike Female
Default white spot on phal. spike

Just noticed today that there is a white spot on a spike of one of my phal. I was wondering if it's something I have to worry about. Besides the spot the spike looks fine. Not wilted or anything.
And I resently received an orchid from a freind that has some leaf damage. Look cleaned if well and repotted it but wanted to know if yall thought it was OK to put it with my other orchids.

Does that area on the spike feel firm?

Hmm... I haven't ever seen nor heard of disease affecting the spike alone (if at all), but I certainly am far from knowing everything - if this were mine, I'd keep an eye on it, but wouldn't worry unless it progresses or gets to feeling soft. But, if someone else knows of something worrisome that causes this, I'd certainly listen to them.

The leaf in question - I can't say positively, but looks like it may just be mechanical damage.
