Default Need Advice (off Topic)

My cayenne pepper plant is covered with a white fungus and is about to die.
Seems to be on the bottom of the leaves and also there are 1,000 of little white flying mites!!

HELP

Here in the US I would assume powdery mildew and white fly - very common problems. I have no idea if those would be likely in the Philippines. Since cayenne pepper (Capsicum anuum) is common, can be grown from seed and matures in as little as 3 months I would probably get rid of the plant and start new plants from seed, or it can be grown from cuttings from a healthy plant.

Sounds like your plant is not getting enough air and is starting to get mildew from all the moisture, I get white flies on my peppers every year if I don't give the plants room to grow and get lots of air to dry them out before night time.

I have about 30 new little plants just coming up.
Think I will just kill the plant and start with new plants.
I give most of the plants & peppers away anyway!!!

Thanks for the replys

As a quick advice it sounds to me as if your plant is not happy with the conditions where it is placed. Can you move it in fresh air under a tree?

Thanks for the reply,
It is outside, under the eve and only gets morning sunshine!
I may have just been watering to late in the afternoon. I am trying to dry it out just to see if it will recover!

Thanks

Peppers don't really like soggy wet and they love direct sunshine and heat, so this could be problem. Hairy fungus under leaves sounds like downy mildew which is not fun in US and don't want it spreading to other things
