Reading the instructions for Roses, it calls for 2 ounces per quart of water which adds up to 8 ounces of product per gallon.
Use every 6 weeks for control and feed. Use every 4-5 weeks in areas of frequent disease or sandy soil.
My questions are- Since there are no directions for orchids (not surprising) would you use the Rose strength?
I have my doubts that it will work a full six weeks considering that most orchids are not in soil. How often would you use it to rid plants of mealies?
Any other suggestions and/or information would be great, too.

I used the Bayer Advanced at the recommended amount of 2 oz per quart of water. It's been nearly 2 months now......
The roots on my cattleya's look brown/black. Especially the the babies and teenagers.
The adults look fairly good.
Leaves look dehydrated. Kind of wrinkled. Roots outside the pots look pretty good except a few that have some brownish looking spots.
There has been no other treatment or fertilizer used during this time period. Root death is causing root rot.
Plus...the dang mealies are back on the catts that were big and mostly faired okay through this.
Now, I'm afraid to use anything!!!
We've had day after day of cold, dark, cloudy weather. This isn't good growing weather!!
The only good news outta this situation is almost everything has new growth with new roots coming on....if the rot doesn't get to them before I can pull them outta their pots and do surgery and pot into fresh pots and medium.
Any comment, suggestions, ANYTHING!!! will be appreciated!
