Cattleyas with brown blotches on flowers! Male
Default Cattleyas with brown blotches on flowers!

We went away for a few days for the Thanksgiving holiday and came home to brown blotches on our beautiful white Blc Empress Range x Blc Mary Tuevara, and the beginning of the same on our Blc Yuko Ita 'Volcano. I had a plant with Botryris two years ago and it doesn't look like it all or brown necrotic streak or some other fungal necrosis. I hope if is only wind burn. The Catts were on a patio table over the break and were exposed to plenty of wind. Here are a few pics. Your help appreciated.

From what I was reading about this though, even if it's not botrytis, the treatment is still the same, it's still a fungal infection of some kind. The blooms got exposed to some kind of moisture that stayed in there, and didn't dry out quick enough to avoid a fungal infection setting in. The treatment is the same.

Off they go. I got lazy on the fungicide. They were in a very well-ventilated space, so the wet got them. Thanks for the advice.
