What are these bugs? Male
Default What are these bugs?

I picked up this Phragmipedium Besseae at the show in San Francisco this past weekend. I watered the plant and left some liquid in the saucer after my research suggested that they like wet feet. When I came home from work I noticed 14 little bugs. Any clue what they are? They seem to big to be fungus gnat larvae.

Thanks

They look like millipedes to me with all those feet!

Baby millipedes, should be eating rotting stuff. I'd watch if nothing is rotting, especially the bark if there's some.

Note some can have a go at orchids, so the best is to get rid of them (at least show them it's better outside then in the pot).

Thanks for the input. I thought they looked like millipedes myself. I'm soaking LECA right now to try my first S/H experiment. Hopefully I can get them all out before I transplant.
