Default Dendrobium black spots

Hi,
I originally posted a similar post regarding my dendrobium orchid (Hollywood) under "Beginner" area of this site. My den. has black spots on the leaves. I thought I knew what I was doing and was trying to get Phyton 27 since it sounds like that is the way to go over Physan 20 which is more of a clean all product.
I just called an orchid store by me and they said that they quit buying Phyton 27 becasue "it is the same as Physan 20". I explained that is not what I have been finding out on the net.
Anyway, so does anyone know if that statement is true? Also, going to post my photos again on this end of the boards to see other responses. Thanks to all.
Cindy

Your spots look like bacteria/fungus from water to me. I use Gentian Violet when my plants get them.

You are right - Phyton 27 and Physan 20 are not the same product. In your case you should use Phyton 27. I also was looking for it in local plant stores/nurseries but they wont sell it. They offered to order for me but the smallest amount they can get was one liter bottle for about 80 or 100 $ - dont remember exactly. So I bought mine on internet - smaller bottle and a fraction of cost.
Phyton 27 really helped me a lot with bacterial infections. I even managed to get Ervinia outbreak under control. I have Physan 20 too and use it on my orchids as preventative.

I got mine from ebay for the same price. Some online orchid vendors carry them too.
