I found these little buggers on my Phalaenopsis and couldn't find them in any of my identification books. There is some honeydew and some unusual formations on the leaves (see pics). I think they might be aphids but they HOP! Any clues?

They are glassy-winged sharpshooters (H. coagulata). I had trouble indentifying them because they were babies. I finally saw mama (much larger) and was able to find them in my book. The unusual markings on the leaves are egg sacks injected into the plant by said mama. I'm told that orange oil is an effective control. Hope this helps anybody else that encounters these critters!
Here is a link with more pics: sharpshooters, leafhoppers - Cicadellidae
Thanks for enlightining me on this new fear! Never heard of these. Nasty damage there.
Welcome to the Orchid Board, I like your name, Tinuviel, or Nightingale.
