Default Think they're aphids but I'm not sure...

I found these little buggers on my Phalaenopsis and couldn't find them in any of my identification books. There is some honeydew and some unusual formations on the leaves (see pics). I think they might be aphids but they HOP! Any clues?

They're definitely not aphids. I hope someone can help you with this one

Default found 'em!

They are glassy-winged sharpshooters (H. coagulata). I had trouble indentifying them because they were babies. I finally saw mama (much larger) and was able to find them in my book. The unusual markings on the leaves are egg sacks injected into the plant by said mama. I'm told that orange oil is an effective control. Hope this helps anybody else that encounters these critters!
