Irregular brown spots covering leaves and stems of Arachnis Maggie Oei

This started a couple months back. Spoke to a local grower who told me it was scale and to treat with Neem Oil weekly. Doesnt seem to be helping and seems to be rapidly spreading. I've tried looking things up but the only thing I can find is a scholarly article which I cannot understand. I'm an amateur so please be gentle. Thank you all in advance!

I’m not an expert but my guess would be some sort of fungal infection. Making sure you have good air circulation and keep the stem and leaves dry can help prevent spread. You should also wear gloves or wash you hands after handing affected plants and disinfect cutting tools etc. Hopefully another user can advise on possible treatments.
