My Hot Spot In South Texas
its been over 100 for umpteen days and at night doesnt get much cooler. Heres most of my outdoor stuff. I cleaned the place up some ..More than a few these been inside since they bloomed months and months ago. Hope I dont hurt em none. I feel its time for them to go out into the world and grow me some blooms..They all get very bright light all day long. They also get misted about 5 times a day to help cool them down from 100+ temps on the porch, in the shade. Lots of air and the plants dont stay much over 90 for a few hours in the extreme.
the shelf was tossed out bec it had been broken at one of the horizontal rails..I cut the bad part out and made 2 short shelves .. weighs a ton and is stainless steel..and yes them is Granny Walkers bumpers off her bumper buggy on the ends
The big brassia REX next to a Yucca cane..Its been
inside since february. We see how it does..It really need
to bloom for me..
Spathoglottis army I want an army of little purple flowers and thats how they going to get started right here.
 started
I have successfully made room for at least 15 more plants just cleaning up

All of them look very happy, but Granny is probably missing her bumpers. You should give them back.

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, more room for orchids, I was worrying about you guys in Tx. do you get any breeze off the gulf ? We are sitting on 90 something everyday but the ocean breeze keeps the air moving, and brings the rain.. Hope everyone like the outdoors!

if you can call it a breeze, its like more hot air .
stale and muggy all around being locked down in the weather by the high pressure that floats over Texas. I think we are somewhere around 8 days straight of 100 plus temps to start August. A city with the high humidity of Houston it takes a lot more energy to push temperatures above the 100+ mark and you can feel it.
I think I get more of a breeze from the neighbor flappin his gumms to be honest..I'm gonna stuff an orchid in it next time he opens it and find some more room...

My Hot Spot in South Texas
Oh, so that's where you were last Thursday. I wondered when I did not see you at the HOS meeting. Well, looks like you put your time to good use at least.
I need to do something similar. My plants are mostly all on a big table and it is difficult to see the ones in the middle. I also need to get a good look at them to see which ones need some help. My thinner leaved varieties
are really struggling and I have lost several.
The last few days there has been a nice breeze. OH, and coming home from Hou. this afternoon on I10 I actually ran into a rainshower between Uvalde and the San Jacinto river. There's hope yet.

Looks like a great setup! Do you guys bring your plants in during the winter down on the coast?
