The orchids of Mersea Island
Hi everyone,
Unfortunately, I can't say much about these (as their near destruction is shrouded in local gossip, hear-say etc. but here's a report which shows that they still survive/ exist somewhere on the Island, even if it is only a back garden now:

I believe the orchid's scientific name is Anacamptis morio.
