i am so impatient!
I have been 'sheath watching' for so so long with this plant! Blc Leo Frigeau....lordy, I watched this growth slowly slowly grow and sheath....and pause pause pause....and grow another lead and pseudobulb and beautiful leaf AND SHEATH! while the first one is dragging its big big sheath....and now, this week I have been watching SHADOWS appear! yes in that first glorious but slow sheath, there are shadows of many buds!
and the second sheath is appearing, so nice and crisp! I cant wait to see the buds in it! so now, I am on BUD WATCH! this is really the very very slowest cattleya I ever have had!

Some orchids really try your patience, don't they?

The ultimate test of patience! Sometimes growing orchids drives me near insanity, waiting and waiting for a spike/buds to develop. The worst is when the spike stalls... Though yours sounds even more snail like than most.
And now I'm inpatient too, I tried googling the name of the plant and all I get are photos of a bridge!

Blc. Mem. Leo Fregeau "Sun breeze' is the proper name, I think I got it right, lol....my memory is so haphazard anymore...I should photo the tag!
I can see 5 beautiful pointy 'fingers' clearly now! 5 of them! that's the biggest stem of flowers on it so far, in 3-4 bloomings! lordy me!
I pray I can get them all to show!
I hope the second and new sheath will flower near the same time, got my fingers crossed!

I have a Ctt. Penang 'Black Caesar' AM/AOS that is making me as impatient as a kid on Christmas Eve. Never bloomed before, had it since it was a seedling, now 3 big sheaths!

I really prefer it when I do not notice an orchid is going to bloom until the buds are almost ready to open.
