Paphiopedalum Appletonianum x sib
Just picked this up from the local orchid nursery today. I've been getting obsessed with paphs of all kinds recently. I love how long the spike is.

Not my favorite Paph. species, but I do agree with WhiteRabbit.

Is this considered a species? Not a hybrid?

I love the pink tips and the way it sort of pinches it self in the the right areas. Appeltonianum is a species from Laos and Thailand. It requires a dormant rest. (Information comes from Orchidweb dot com)

Yup, a species, the x sib means it was crossed with a sibling
