Default Miltassia Dark Star “Darth Vader” in bloom

Hello, my friends

This is what I think to be a Miltassia Dark Star “Darth Vader”. I have it for 3 or 4 years, can’t remember exactly. It always blooms approx. In this time of the year, although this year I think it bloomed sooner than usual. There are two more buds that should open in the next 4 days.

I grow it in a north window, never gets sun, but the window has a bright light due to the reflection of the sunlight in a nearby building complex.
Water it once a week in winter and every five days in summer.

Winter conditions:

- Temps between 12 to 17 ºc (53 to 62 F)
- HR between 55 to 70%.

Summer conditions

- Temps between 24 to 29 ºC (75 to 84 F)
- HR between 15 to 20% (mist it everyday and increase HR artificially up to 60% when I get home from work).

Here are the photos, in different lights because these flowers are covered by iridescent hair that is visible under certain types of light. It needs a repot after flowering because last repot was two years ago and so pbulbs have not anymore room to grow. The actual pot is a 6 in pot.

Those are beautiful flowers on what appears to be a well-grown plant!

Thank you, Estación.

One more particularity I forgot to mention. It is fragrant but only when the flowers start to wilt. Even the dry flowers have scent.

And as I read this I'm watching Vader and Luke duke it out on 'Return of the Jedi'. Beautiful blooms, and it's a great healthy looking plant!
