Dendrochilum filiforme
Dendrochilum filiforme - small species from Philippines. Spikes with blooms look like twisted DNA ladders.
This year some 20+ spikes. Grown outside year round in warm/hot, bright light, some direct sun, and keeping moist all the time, this is actually the only orchid that I do keep saucer under the pot and fill with water every 2-3 days when empty. Regular fertilizing, and keep drier in the winter time.

Awesome. At a glance it’s spikes like Pholidota imbricata. But the colour of Dendrochilum filiforme is much better, much yellow.

Very nice! Its funny you grow this one wet, because it was the only one that I grew mounted when I was living in Hawaii. It was the only orchid that could stand to dry out with the trade winds constantly blowing.

Really beautiful, Tommy! I have a small, recently neglected piece of this species that I was considering mounting. I think I'll still do so, but on something water-retentive, and keep it in my auto-watered area. Could you estimate the warmest and coolest yours has gotten in your care?
