Default First re-bloom for these two - Phal speciosa and Phal Donna's Delight

Sometimes I think I might be getting the hang of things. At least, with a plant or two . . . These were shipped to me from Peter Lin in bud and did nicely, but these are my first bloomings of them.

The Phal. speciosa 'C#1' is blooming on the same stalk it previously bloomed on.

The plant is kind of ungainly, but if it blooms multiple times a year, I can live with that.

The Phal. Donna's Delight is blooming on a new spike.

Very nice. I want these two in my collection but don't know about the availability in India.

Yes, both in glass jars in LECA. I try to shift everything I grow to S/H. After a few rough starts when I didn't know what to look for in terms of new growth and such, I've taken to switching plants into LECA with traditional culture when I get them and gradually shifting them to S/H once they're showing new growth. I don't bother to drill the glass peanut butter and olive jars I have them in. I just fill and dump when I'm watering. Sometimes I flush a lot extra if I'm getting salt buildup. Works for me but I don't have that many plants. Under 30 I think.

Both beautiful!

I love the speciosa 'C1' especially. I'm hoping not to kill mine. It's done nothing since I bought it.

Good luck Rosie! Mine came bud, and now that spike has bloomed again at the end, plus the spike seems to be branching down below and maybe making buds down there as well. I feel fortunate that it liked my growing conditions well enough not to skip a beat.
