Default Displays at TIOS - well some of them

Some lovely displays, here is just a few of them......

Year of the Horse - represented by a large display of amabilis














Not sure what happened with this photo, I was trying to take a photo of the two guys in this musical group but my zoom lense got stuck in this position. I feel bad about it really.......anyway this is part of the entertainment at the banquet after the judging. Not a display but lovely anyway......

There were between 12 and 15 displays I think which were like this, they were all pretty amazing. Can you believe they were out in the full sun with Phals? I think in some countries orchids can be treated much differently than we do in our shade houses and basements.

Yes full sun, shaded for part of the day but the atmosphere is different. It's a hazy kind of high level cloud that filters the light. It's hard to explain but they all seem to do ok. Some are literally sitting in full sun just fine, I noticed the same thing in Singapore.
