Default Vanda tessellata and Ensovola Surprise

Plant 1 is Vanda tessellata.
Plant 2 is Encyleyvola Surprise (Encyclia plicata x Brassocattleya Binosa), created by Marble Branch Farms. I bought this plant as a mounted seedling and this is it's first blooming.

Didn't think you were stupid Jerry, just human ! If that's a VERY small flower I think it's the one I fell in love at first sight with !!! Trouble is that like most V's it grows HUGE, I was told ! Not your average windowsill Vanda !

Merlyn, this plant might be considered a miniature. The leaf span is only about eight inches and the height is also about eight inches. It is very similar in size to a mature Ascocentrum miniatum (gareyi). I have had this plant for many years growing on a 6 x 8 tree fern slab. It is also a very slow grower.

Jerry, Chryss is right...you can never be stupid if you are one of us in this forum...orchid growers are brilliant...above average intelligent people. And your vanda is just to covet...I love the colors...

Well thanks, Jerry !!! It must have been another V species. When I find out I can't support a plant I want I tend to block it out of memory ! I've had to do that with an entire genus or two ! All I remember is that it had small gorgeous blooms !!! LOL !! Really narrows it down, huh !!!

I will be looking into this one ! I love my Darwinara Ascocentrum cross !
