It's wonderful and from the pic it looks like quite a large flower, is that right?

I love the rest of them as well. The Vanda looks fantastic.

The digby looks even more awesome today!
It has spread out somewhat, now measuring 6 inches across and almost the same vertically
The fringe is actually very pink at the bottom but it doesn't show too much in the photo:

Nicely done, Sue. I've never been a big fan of digbyana, but I think yours is changing my mind.

Sue,
That digbyana is unusually red. These guys normally have some red going through them if they have high light conditions, but yours just so nice! Congrats on that one for sure!

This plant gets the light all my vandas get...and sometimes more. Once in a while, I move her out of the screened lanai and she gets full afternoon HOT Florida sun! The leaves are very dark, almost purple marks throughout

Susanne, They all look great, especially the Rhyncholaelia digbyana. I have always loved those plants but I tried one and it didn't do well for me so I gave it away. It's doing well now in it's new home.

I keep seeing the V. David Gardner on RF's website. You tempt me. I may have to break down one of these days......but my vanda rack is full. Those guys take a lot of space, but I still love them.

This vanda is extraordinary. After this winter, a few of the chids are struggling...this vanda usually gives me two spikes. I'm sure the next bloom cycle will be back to normal. I got this one from Martin Motes. he was a speaker at a meeting a while back and as he was bringing all the chids into the room, I asked him to pick the one he would buy himself if they weren't already his. I'm thrilled with it

Hi Susanne,

They are all beautiful! Your digbyana is wonderfully colorful...thanks for sharing your secret to bring out the pink. I'll put mine out with my vandas by the pool next year and see what happens.

Is that an old cypress stump that your aerides is on? ummm...very nice!

My little life saver plant has grown a lot this past winter and spring, and has been blooming nicely too. Thanks!

Hi David

I'm not sure what type of wood that mount is...I ordered it from ebay at the very beginning of my addiction

It was perfect for this plant. I never used anything to attach the plant to the wood, just sat it in a groove at the top and let it go

I am thinking that the plant/blooms should be held higher so we're discussing what can be done to accomplish that
