I'm not familiar with "terminal spike" so I hope this isn't that. It has always kind of wanted to grow up out of the pot's medium, and has a great number of roots sticking out of the medium, but it has always seemed healthy other than this keiki popping up all of a sudden. What do you think? And what do you advise I do? Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Unfortunately, it is a terminal spike. Normally this means that the plant will never bloom again and never grow any new leaves. In short, you now have a foliage plant that will slowly wither away and die. The only way to save it is to hope that a keiki will develop on the spike or that a basal keiki grows.
Let's see what others say, since I have neve had an orchid grow a terminal spike before.

It's a terminal spike alright. Bummer! All is not lost though. Often when a plant does this it eventually sends up a basal Keiki or one off the spike or both. Keep caring for it as you normally would. Hopefully the plant will take care of the rest.

Thank you Terri and Camille on giving me a head's up on the Doritis (Doris). I hope it mends itself with a keiki. Hmmmm, wonder what caused this.
Thanks everyone for the nice compliments. It's really a lonely hobby to have, cause no one around me seems to love them like I do, and when things start getting exciting, no one cares but me. It's so great to have my orchid board family to share great growing with!

Orchid Monster
Kiki!!
wOw so many beautiful blooms all at one time!!! I think its somewhat overwhelming in a very good way
I just have to ask you where you got your Goldenzelle Lemon Chiffon as its form is flawless and basically what I've been looking for!!
Please post more pics whenever you get the time!! I really enjoy them
Oh yes and that is Unfortunately a terminal spike as other members mentioned, it will most likely develop a keiki to continue living, just wait and see if not then maybe something like keikigrow on the spike could induce a keiki!!

Hi Cookiemonster! Thanks for the nice comments. I got the Chiffon at Woodsprites Orchid Nursery in Maine.
It isn't exactly flawless, but pretty close. It is a beauty, though, and I am really pleased.
