New babies from the Tampa Show today
Laura and I went to the Tampa Orchid Society show today and I picked up 5 new babies. When Laura got to my house, she came in carrying three new babies for me! WOW! What a day!!!
Bought, thumbnails are in this order:
Sarcoglottis sceptrodes
Phaius Dan Rosenberg 'Tropical Ice'
Den amethystoglossum (to replace the one I recently sent to the great greenhouse in the sky)
Den atriviolaceum
Angcm sesquipedale (neither of us could resist this one since they had a stunner in bloom as a sample!)
Laura brought me:
Den Aussie Chip
Vuyl Edna Stamperland x Milt regnelli
Psh radiata (a wonderful surprise since it was on my WOC wish-list and I couldn't find it!)

Awesome haul Sue. The bud on the Angcm sesquipedale looks like a large ghost orchid bud.

Very nice!. I bought two orchids there today as well, and I am going to pick up my Vanda Mimi Palmer tomorrow.

The vendors had great stuff and the displays were very nice.
Did you see the extremely large Bulbophyllum fletcherianum 'Ol' Stinky' in one of the displays?
Awesome STINKY Bulb! 
These leaves are about 5 ft long!

I actually didn't look at the displays too much because I was looking at all the vendors. I have to go back tomorrow morning for my Mimi Palmer, so I will make sure to look at all of the displays then. I think 'Ol' Stinky' is one of Phelps Farms orchids. |
