Perhaps a rottating schedule, that way no one misses a specific family every week if they can't make it on a certain night. Ex: lets just say, hypothetically Paphgirl can't make chats on Saturday nights, that means she misses Slipper chat every week.
Also, I like the guest lecturer idea, or guest expert at least. We have plenty of leadership now on the board to do this.
Finally, if there is to be a set schedule rather than a rotating one, then we should find out what night is traditionally the busiest and make that one the most popular family of orchids night.
Ex: if Sunday is the traditional busy chat night, then it should be Slipper night(I think thats the most popular alliance right??).
Dave good call on the Dendrobiums, I totally forgot about it.

Wow! I'm happy to see so many people chiming in here! I think the rotating schedule is a good idea. Maybe something as simple as , for example, dens on Thurs one week, then Friday the next, Sat the next...each group shifting one day ahead as the weeks pass. Does that make sense? I also vote yes for Dave's schedule, if that's the next step...

I think that Rotating Schedules will be very confusing to keep track of. I like a firm schedule idea. If someone can't make it, oh well...Hard to accommodate everyone's schedule.... I could see about keeping the log of the chat session for a few days, so even if they miss it, they can still go and read the transcript! I guess we can accommodate everyone

So? Is this the chat schedule ? Going once? Feel free to modify it still... I'll plaster banners here, but don't want to redo them, so lets agree on it.
Monday - Phalaenopsis
Tuesday - Oncidium
Wednesday - Cattleyas
Thursday - Dendrobium
Friday - Pleurothallid
Saturday - Slippers
Sunday - General Orchid Culture
