This is why I only deal with places that have a physical building and list hours open, with the exception of Amazon. I like to think that if I don't get my plants, I can go and talk to the people. I also like to know personally the people who have ordered from them. I know it limits me but I like being cautious.

I feel fairly safe when buying online. this is my first bad experience with dealing with someone. Depend what I'm look for too. if I can only get what I'm after from one place then I have to take my chances and go for it. Needless to say I wont be buying from many people in Germany again off of eBay.

When it comes to ebay, I mostly buy from sellers who happen to be well known growers outside of ebay, or sellers that I've extensively googled beforehand to see if anything bad comes up.
As for non orchid purchases, I got scammed once, so now stick to the well known sites (Amazon and similar)
